Program Overview
In 2018, the Jordanian government initiated a novel Citizenship by Investment program, as outlined in Regulation No. 28 of 2018. This program provides a pathway for international investors to obtain Jordanian citizenship by making substantial financial contributions. A specially dedicated unit within the government has been created to administer this program, which is specifically designed to stimulate foreign direct investment from worldwide sources.

Investment Options
Bank Deposit & Treasury Bonds
1. Place a zero-interest deposit of $1 million USD at the Central Bank of
Jordan (CBJ) for a minimum of three years.
2. Purchase $1 million USD in treasury bonds, held for at least six years, with
an interest rate determined by the CBJ.
Company Shares and/or Units
Invest a minimum of $1.5 million USD in shares or units of Jordanian
companies, held for at least three years, with temporary seizure denoted by
the Companies Control Department or the Jordan Securities Commission.
Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)
Establish an investment project in a productive sector with a capital of at
least $1 million USD in the Amman governorate ($750,000 USD for projects
outside Amman), creating at least 20 jobs (or 10 for projects outside
Amman) for Jordanians, as verified by the Social Security Corporation.
